We are excited to introduce money transfer with PayPal which is one of the easiest ways to send money back home into Africa or accept payment. When we started out in 2020, the major focus was and still is to continuously give access to borderless money transfer and power to pay online, and as we kept on building together with our users, they created the need for us to include access to remittance channel from outside Africa into Africa.
Just like Kwame a Ghanaian living and working in the United States who seamlessly have access to paying for goods online and offline for himself in the States, but sending money back home causes headache.
Even Julian a Nigerian freelance creative designer who has clients abroad wouldn’t have any issues finding a Gig and delivering the job, but she would always go through stress to receive payment from international clients.
And Stephen in the Eastern part of Nigeria makes locally made native caps and sells them to his European customers. He ships conveniently but always undergo rigorous steps all in the name of receiving payment for his sold goods.
Kwame would be excited to know that he can now transfer money from PayPal to mobile money in Ghana, and Julian would also be relieved to know that she can now accept payment from her international clients sent from PayPal directly into her Nigeria bank account, and the same as Stephen.
As long as we are working to give Africa access to borderless money transfer, it is important that the accessibility isn’t difficult, it must be as easy as texting a friend. That is the reason FXKudi will continue to listen to users to continuously build on a better user experience.
